This is a 3-day camp including multiple sea swims, pool sessions, 1:1 feedback sessions with Prabhat, along with sessions on nutrition, strength & mobility, and sports psychology with facilitators who are accomplished in their fields, culminating with a 5 km swim across our very our Goan Channel, the Zuari River.
Prabhat Koli is India's youngest swimmer to complete the coveted Oceans Seven Challenge - successfully completed 7 swims across the globe, battling turbulent water and weather conditions, dealing with marine life, and being both physically and mentally strong to tackle whatever situation open water threw at him. He was also awarded the Tenzin Norgay Adventure Award in 2018, and in 2024 was part of a prestigious team of open water swimmers from across the world for the Epic Maui Swim, a celebration of Hawaiian culture and a call to action for ocean health.

What does the three-day camp include?
4 open water swims, 1 pool swim
1:1 feedback session with Prabhat Koli
4 theory sessions by GOWSC, Prabhat Koli, 2 external resource persons
2 yoga sessions
Each open water swim lasts 90 mins with an instructor who knows the local waters, and accompanying lifeguards from Drishti, as well as kayaks for safety and hydration.
Every session includes a safety briefing, information on tides and local beach knowledge. In addition, we teach the importance of proper breathing techniques and sighting while swimming, drown-proofing techniques, and the risks involved when swimming in open waters, such as marine life, boats, fishing nets, etc.
The camp ends with an endurance swim, depending on ability. The final distance is predetermined by GOWSC coaches.
On completion of the session, participants receive an e-certificate noting the distance completed.

Who is this for?
As this camp is geared towards the growing community of long distance open water swimmers, the registration process is a little different from other camps. The eligibility criteria for the camp is as follows:
- If you have completed a 2km, 5km or 10 km open water swim
- If you have completed an Olympic distance triathlon with 1.5 km swim
- If you have completed a minimum half-Ironman or triathlon with 1.9 km swim
- If you have completed a full Ironman or triathlon with a 3.8 km swim
(During the online registration process, you are required to submit a copy of your race/event certificate.)
All swimmers must be 16 years and above to join the GOWSC Swim Camp.
